50th Reunion News and Views

The 50th Reunion was a rousing success!  Many thanks to everyone for making it so much fun.

Stay tuned for reports and photos. We hope to welcome lots of input from those of you who had your cameras or who just have an opinion!

Latest Reunion Information

50TH Reunion September 9-11, 2011

What a great turnout we are getting! Many classmates coming from all parts of the country...Texas, Florida, California, Arizona, and Michigan to name just a few!

Here's a reminder of the events. (Be sure to watch for the ORANGE and BLACK balloons at each location!)


Friday: Reunion Kickoff at John Sanford's house

6:00 to 9:00: Cocktails, beverages and hors d'oeuvres, hosted by John and Ellen Sanford

Directions to John's house: From the flagpole, go east on Main St. to Estli Ave. Follow Estli Ave for .5 mi, then bear left onto Rt 33. Continue on Rt 33 for about 2.5 mi. John's house (#2264) is on the right, set back from the road. Park along the side of the house.


Saturday afternoon: no planned activity.

12:00 - 4:00: if you are free, drop by Barbara Duffy's house for snacks and visiting.


Saturday: An Evening at the Otesaga Hotel

6:00 - 7:00: Happy hour with assorted cheese and crackers (Cash Bar)
7:00 - 11:00: Buffet Dinner, followed by visiting, mingling and photo ops

There will also be music and dancing in the Templeton Lounge from 9:00 until 1:00 am


Sunday: Brunch and Fun at Cobblescote (Pete Bissell's B&B)

10:00 am to whenever: Brunch, hosted by John and Judy Abbott Majors.
Weather permitting, we will have boat rides on the lake.

Directions to Pete's B&B: Follow Rt 80 up the West side of the Lake for about 4 miles to #6515 on the left. Drive up the driveway (it is steep and bends to the left at the top) then continue straight to the parking area.


If you are planning on attending the Dinner at the Otesaga,
please send your check ($70.00 per person) to Barbara Westbrook Duffy by August 29th.
(You can make it out to either Barbara Duffy or Tim Feury.)

This year, 5 of us attended the Alumni Dinner, held on June 25, 2011.

To the right are Tim Feury and Sandy Wilkman.
Once again, we enjoyed the food, the company, and the meeting!
And we're looking forward to our 50th reunion.

Friday, September 9: Meet & Greet Cocktail Party at the Sanford's home (6 to 9 PM).

Beer, wine, soda & hors d'oeuvres. Hosted by John Sanford, no charge.

Saturday, September 10: Dinner at The Otesaga (6 to 11 PM).

Happy Hour, with assorted cheese & crackers (6 to 7 pm)

Buffet Dinner in the Kingfisher / Natty Bumppo Rooms (7 to 11 pm)

$70.00 per person, Cash Bar all evening.

Dress is casual (no jackets or suits required!!)

50th REUNION

By now you have all received either a postcard or an email message about the dates of the CCS CLASS of 1961 50th Reunion. But it bears repeating.

The dates of the 50th Reunion will be:
September 9-11, 2011 (Friday through Sunday)

A committee of your classmates is making plans and these plans should be finalized soon. Once they are, the information will be distributed via email, snail mail or phone.

We are looking forward to a great turnout!
After all, it is our 50th (how can that be?)
