60th Reunion

Our 60th reunion was small but fun for those who attended.
They were Pete Bissell (Clayton), Boyd Bissell (Pierre), Warren Bunn (Diane), Bob Jersen (Beth), Eddie (Eileen) Kukenberger, Sue Butler McCullough (John), Catherine Mistretta, Carol Mistretta, Cathy Kenney Moore,  Betty Susman (Bob Grodd), Barbara Westbrook Duffy, and Dave Wilshere (Meme).
The meet-and-greet and dinner was held Upstate Bar & Grill, complete with photo slideshows on their large-screen TVs of our past reunions and school days. What wonderful memories!

Tim Feury was out of town but sent little envelopes with Fenimore House goodies for all.
So instead, our class Treasurer Warren Bunn did a wonderful job as Master of Ceremonies. Thanks Warren.

Butch Welch planned on attending but was waylaid at home by a surprise party.
And Joe Polulech would have been here but a breakdown in Michigan delayed his return from vacation. We missed both of them.

I had a few responses to my request for updated 'life stories' which I combined into one pdf. It was emailed or mailed. (Contact me if you did not receive it.)
And several other classmates replied with their regrets that they couldn't attend and best wishes to everyone who did.

So it was great seeing some of our classmates for this notable reunion. Check the other blog posts to see more photos.

60 years, can that really be possible?!

60th Reunion Photos

We didn't have as many photographers at this reunion.
But luckily Warren, Sue and Barbara kept their cameras clicking.

Here are the photos from Warren

the ones from Barbara

and here are  Sue's

Also, as you may know, we did a ZOOM get-together with some people who could not attend. They were Joan and Dick Cary, Dick Cornell, Jennie May Marlette, Bonnie Boyd Sharpe, Marilyn Moore Wilber, and Karen Severud.
Although it was a little confusing, it was recorded.

Here is the link to the you-tube video

You may want to fast-forward occasionally since it is almost an hour.
But it was really great seeing some of our classmates from far away.
And hopefully, at our next reunion(?), we will improve our technique!

Upcoming 60th Reunion

Here are the final plans for the 60th Reunion on Saturday September 18, 2021 and Sunday September 19, 2021.

For those NOT attending the reunion:

We will be doing a ZOOM during the Meet-and-Greet.

it will be from about 4:15 to 4:45 and will give our classmates, near and far, a chance to tell us what they've been up to.

If you've already told me you want to join, I will send a separate email with the information you need.

if you want to join, let me know and I'll send the info to you.

For those attending Saturday evening:

We will have the front room all to ourselves, with 2 servers.

They will put everyone on separate checks or you can pay as you go.

just let the server know.

Each bill will have tax and a tip of 18% added. Feel free to tip more if you like.

The meet and greet will begin at 4:00 and may run a little later than 5:00, due to the Zoom. You do not need to join the Zoom event. You can wander around, chatting with others and looking at the scrapbook and pictures, as well as enjoying the appetizers.

But the entire room will be on camera for the zoom participants to see, so try to behave:)

If you want (and have a smartphone), you can join the zoom at the restaurant.

They have WIFI, their password is upstate1234

And for anyone interested, we'll be meeting for brunch at Origins Cafe (part of Carefree Gardens on Beaver Meadow Rd) at 11:00 am on Sunday September 19th.
